Wow, does this place always change so fast overnight? The snow... decorations... It's actually really pretty! Almost takes my mind off of being trapped here.

Guess I should go looking for presents, but I don't know anyone here!

And is it bad that I want some iced tea right about now?

"Okay, I can settle with that.

So how did you celebrate Christmas back home?"

We celebrate for almost the whole month. Today is known as the Immacolata, and that's when we set up the Nativity scene and our tree!

"That's pretty cool.

We would just hang up lights and put some decorations on a tree over the month until Christmas."

I admit, I like the light decorations in America. Maybe I can convince this drone husband guy to put lights up on our house.

"Good luck, they are hit or miss sometimes I think.

Where did you come from?"

I'm originally from Genoa, Italy. I enlisted, so I was kind of in the middle of a fight when I was brought here.

"Oh, Italy!

How was the fight going?"

Better than we thought. Well, until the giant plane showed up.

Then we had to load up in our own jets and shoot the thing down.

"Giant plane? Jets? Was there a war?"

Yeah, but I'm used to it. Usually, we have to fight "stupid dictator trying to take over the world". This war's no different.

"What time did you come from?"

[[Aaron heard of different time periods here.]]

Let me see... *The line goes silent as she thinks about that*

Around 2031.

"That's the furthest in the future yet!

Wait... does that mean a bad war happens in 2031?"

The world's a little messed up because of guys trying to take over the world. Don't even get me started on those nasty Mars People!

"Mars has people!?"

Not really. Just those green tentacled jerks with ray guns.

"... really they look like that?

I'm from 1998 by the way."

I'm not kidding. They look MEAN, too.

Oh cool! That's a good ten years before I was born.

"Really? Well, you didn't missing much."

It wasn't a good year? Or just not a memorable one?

"The nineties in general aren't that exciting. I'm almost done them, or I was almost done them."

They don't sound all that exciting. And judging by how dated everything is here, I can't go reading about them either.

"Yeah, this is a lot older.

Though the 70's and 80's were interesting, though I only grew up in the 80's."

Oh yeah? I think one of my friends was born in the 80s. I'd love to learn more about all these eras.

"Well I was pretty little in the 80's but I remember high top sneakers and swatch watches if that counts?"
